This is the third webinar in our 4-part series, "Mastering Diabetes Devices: Integrating CGM, Insulin Pumps and Automated Insulin Delivery Into Your Clinical Practice".

This session will focus on AID and how to interpret and use the data to inform clinical decision making and facilitate discussions between healthcare professionals and persons with diabetes to optimize diabetes management. We will provide a brief overview of the available AID systems and how they work, as well as review a few case examples using PANTHER Tools to support care.

Learning Outcome

Learners will report an increased knowledge of strategies to to interpret AID data and practical uses to apply that data to support clinical decision making.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this presentation, participants will be able to:
• Describe the basics of AID and identify the AID options available in the United States
• Explain the Panther Program approach to data interpretation: Big Picture (Identify patterns), Small picture (Understand the reasons), Plan (Identify device specific solutions and make a plan)
• Apply Panther Tool as a guide to support clinical decision making

Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists

To satisfy the requirements for renewal of certification for the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE), continuing education activities must be diabetes related and approved by a provider on the CBDCE list of Approved Providers (www.cbdce.org). CBDCE does not approve continuing education. The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists is on the CBDCE list of Approved Providers.

Board Certified Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM)

ADCES is the administering body for the Advanced Diabetes Management credentials. Continuing education programs offered by ADCES can be used toward fulfilling BC-ADM Certification and recertification requirements.
