Diabetes Distress: What to know and how to help

Cassady Kintner, MS, LMFT will present on diabetes distress, how to explore the patient perspective and major psychosocial barriers to successful diabetes management. She will offer strategies to address these issues, offer patient support, and demonstrate effective collaboration and communication skills.

Cassady is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Medical Family Therapist who specializes in working with people living with chronic illness, particularly type one diabetes (which she's had herself for over 29 years). Cassady has a private practice where she works with teens, adults, couples and families struggling with depression, anxiety, diabetes distress and burnout as well as issues with body image and disordered eating around diabetes.
