The BC-ADM Credential

Showcase your expertise in advanced diabetes management. 

The person holding the BC-ADM (Board Certified - Advanced Diabetes Management) credential skillfully manages complex patient needs and assists patients with their therapeutic problem-solving. Within their scope of practice, healthcare professionals who hold the BC-ADM certification:

  • Adjust medications
  • Treat and monitor acute and chronic complications and other comorbidities
  • Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications
  • Address psychosocial issues
  • Participate in research and mentoring
As of March 2020, the BC-ADM is on the list of accepted certifications for the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®.

BC-ADM certification renewal is required every 5 years. Learn more and access helpful resources.

Test Administration
ADCES has contracted with Meazure Learning to process applications, and schedule and monitor the BC-ADM certification exam. Please note that Meazure recently acquired Scantron. In the transition from Scantron to Meazure Learning, candidates may see communications from Scantron, Meazure or even ProctorU.

Verifying BC-ADM Status

Upon request, ADCES provides verification of credential for those who hold the BC-ADM. Contact [email protected] to obtain verification. Please provide us with their name and BC-ADM certificate number and we will provide a verification letter via email.
