Staying up to date with the latest treatment and technology can be a real challenge with the demands of work and life in general. About a year ago, a person with diabetes reached out inquiring about the CeQur insulin patch. I unfortunately did not have any knowledge about the product so I worked quickly to get up to speed. At that time, I committed to become more intentional in my ongoing knowledge and skills with insulin delivery devices using resources provided by ADCES and manufacturers.
ADCES has amazing tools and opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills in the latest technologies.
I am super excited to share with you the newly renovated danatech.org website. Wow, is it full of all sorts of latest diabetes technology tools!!! When I first logged onto the site, I was blown away with the CGM insurance look up tool indexes as this is one of the greatest frustrations that I have in practice is determining if personal CGM is covered for the person with the diabetes.
The larger technology buckets include Glucose Monitoring, Insulin Pumps, Insulin/Medicine Delivery, Apps & Digital Therapeutics and Training & Education. So whether you are new to diabetes technology or a bit more experienced there are tools, training and education for you! One of my favorites is the comparison tool for insulin and medicine delivery devices (ie. Smart pens, traditional pens, inhalable medication devices and patches).
Danatech.org is your go to resource when educating persons with diabetes about their medication delivery options, CGM and apps as well as the home for resources for your own professional development. My professional development goal for using danatech is to take a deep dive into Smart pens and how I can incorporate them into my practice. What is your professional development goal with danatech?
Take your technology expertise to the next level at the upcoming Technology Conference!
If you enjoy in person learning and are working to increase your knowledge and skills with diabetes technology, ADCES’ upcoming Technology Conference on December 9th and 10th in Chicago is for you. The conference will have a variety of opportunities for networking and learning in general and hands on training (my favorite) sessions and exhibits. Whether you are a novice or expert in diabetes technology this conference will grow your network, knowledge and skills. In closing, I challenge you to join me in committing to growing in knowledge and skills in diabetes technology through exploring danatech and/or registering for the ADCES Technology Conference.
