Why do you love being a member?
I love being an ADCES member because of the available trainings, resources and networking opportunities. Membership allows for discounts, email notices and access to the ADCES In Practice journal, which provides up to date information and best practice approaches.
What is your favorite part about being a diabetes care and education specialist?
My favorite part about being a diabetes care and education specialist is empowering people with the knowledge to prevent or effectively manage diabetes through healthy lifestyle behaviors like healthy eating, physical activity and stress management.

What is one piece of advice you would give to a new diabetes care and education specialist or someone considering the profession?
Attend ADCES’s annual conference to experience the various educational tracks for novice to expert diabetes care and education specialists. The networking opportunities and connections you can make with other education specialists are life changing.
