Description

Through case‑based learning, this webinar will help clinicians translate automated insulin delivery (AID) concepts into everyday practice across diverse patient populations. Through discussion of real‑world cases, the program explores AID use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, new starts versus transitions from MDI, and patients with varying levels of readiness, resources, and support. The speaker will highlight how candidacy assessment, access considerations, training approaches, and follow‑up strategies differ by scenario, drawing practical lessons from both successes and challenges. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of where AID fits within different clinical realities, greater confidence managing complex or nontraditional cases, and actionable insights to support effective, person‑centered AID implementation in real‑world care settings.

This webinar is the sixth in our seven-part AID series.
Part 1: Automated Insulin Delivery 101: Core Concepts & Patient Selection
Part 2: Getting to Know the AID Landscape: Current & Future Options
Part 3: Prescribing AID: Documentation, Workflow, and Team Roles
Part 4 (June 17): Patient Training & Onboarding for AID Systems - Laying the Groundwork for Success
Part 5 (July 21): Clinical Follow-Up & Troubleshooting: Optimizing Outcomes in AID
Part 7 (October TBD): Access & Affordability: Ensuring Equity in AID Therapy
