Diabetes in Practice at ADCES22 – Get Ready to Maximize Your Impact

If you are looking to…

  • Amplify your impact on people with diabetes in a variety of settings.
  • Explore innovative educational strategies.
  • Increase your visibility as the diabetes care and education specialist at your organization and in the community.

Register for ADCES22 and attend a variety of education sessions in the Diabetes in Practice track.

Many diabetes care and education specialists are practicing in expanded roles and spearheading new initiatives. This track will optimize new knowledge related to the ADCES7 Self-care Behaviors™ (healthy coping, healthy eating, being active, taking medications, monitoring, reducing risks and problem solving), sharing innovative interventions and strategies to reach people with diabetes. Develop skills to enable those both new and experienced in patient care, population health and advocacy to maximize their practice.

Session’s topics will include:

  • Building a Social Media Presence to Create Greater Impact with Vandana Sheth.
  • Maximizing Organizational Impact and Diabetes Care in Inpatient settings, with sessions from Chris Memering, Michelle Curl and Lucille Hughes.
  • Innovative education strategies for medications adherence, nutrition, cooking, physical activity and more, with sessions from Megan Robinson, Lauren Plunkett and Teresa Martin.
  • How to be a Diabetes Advocate with Ann Constance.
