The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists Announces Its Newly Elected National Leadership
August 9, 2024, NEW ORLEANS, LA—The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES®) announced its newly elected officials this morning at the association’s 2024 annual meeting in New Orleans. The newly elected members will begin their term of service on January 1, 2025.
Katherine S. O’Neal, PharmD, MBA, BCACP, CDCES, BC-ADM, AE-C, CLS, FADCES, has been chosen as the 2025 President-elect. O’Neal is a professor and clinical pharmacist who studied at the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy. O’Neal has served in various volunteer and leadership roles within ADCES, including serving on the ADCES Board of Directors from 2020-2022 and as ADCES Treasurer in 2023. She will serve as ADCES president in 2026.

George Huntley has been appointed as 2025-26 Board-elected Director. Huntley currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Diabetes Leadership Council and Diabetes Patient Advocacy Coalition.
Along with the newly elected officers and Board members, Veronica Brady, PhD, RN, FNP-BC, BC-ADM, CDCES, FADCES, will officially begin her one-year term as acting President of the association on January 1.
The elected 2025 national leaders will work closely alongside ADCES staff leadership to serve the association’s members and will play a pivotal role in continuing the efforts outlined in the ADCES 2024-2028 strategic plan.
