Description
This session will provide a background of DSMES reimbursement including an overview of the DSMT Benefit for CMS Beneficiaries with diabetes. A description of DSMT billing codes and reimbursement requirements for providing the service will be covered. Presenters will provide an overview of the current state of telehealth and DSMT in addition to insights that can maximize your value and increase sustainability of your services.

Learners will gain an understanding of the unique DSMT Benefit for Medicare beneficiaries and the basic components needed to start or sustain successful DSMES services with a focus on billing and reimbursement.

Intended Audience
This activity is designed for
individual or groups of diabetes care and education specialists, including nurses,
dietitians, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physicians, PAs, social workers,
and other health care providers interested in staying up to date on current
practices of care for people with diabetes and other related conditions.
