Transforming Diabetes Care: Showing the Value of DSMES is an engaging panel discussion designed to help diabetes care and education specialists see themselves as "compassionate disruptors" —professionals who challenge outdated systems, identify gaps in care, and lead meaningful change with empathy, purpose and data. This program will explore why transformation is urgently needed in diabetes care and how DCESs are uniquely positioned to improve access, strengthen self-management support, reduce disparities, support the use of technology, and demonstrate the measurable impact of DSMES on diabetes outcomes.  

Participants will gain practical strategies for showcasing the value of their DSMES services using the ADCES Showcase the Value of Your DSMES Program Toolkit. Through real-world insights from experienced DSMES program leaders, attendees will learn how to communicate more effectively with administrators, generate referrals, market their programs to the community, and tell a stronger story about the value DCESs bring to people living with diabetes and the health systems that serve them.
