ADCES is pleased to announce that Rachel Stahl Salzman, MS, RDN, CDN, CDCES, a Lecturer in Medicine and certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES) Lead at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City, has been selected as the recipient of the 2027 Diabetes Care and Education Specialist of the Year Award. This award is sponsored by Xeris Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

— The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists (ADCES) is pleased to announce that Rachel Stahl Salzman, MS, RDN, CDN, CDCES, has been selected as the recipient of the 2027 Diabetes Care and Education Specialist of the Year Award, sponsored by Xeris Pharmaceuticals, Inc.

Salzman is a Lecturer in Medicine and certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES) Lead at Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. She is dedicated to helping people with diabetes achieve sustainable lifestyle changes and effectively use diabetes technology to improve their health and quality of life.

The Diabetes Care and Education Specialist of the Year Award recognizes a diabetes care and education specialist who has made exceptional contributions to the field through dedication, innovation, and compassionate, person-centered care.

In addition to her clinical work, Salzman serves as President of the ADCES Metropolitan New York Local Networking Group, where she fosters collaboration and professional engagement among diabetes care and education specialists. She was selected for her compassionate, evidence-based approach to care, her commitment to mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals, and her leadership in quality improvement and research. Through her clinical expertise, education, advocacy, and leadership, Salzman exemplifies the highest standards of the diabetes care and education specialty.
