Tandem Diabetes Care announced a tech access program to give t:slim X2 customers a purchase pathway to the tandem mobi system for $199.

Tandem Diabetes Care, Inc.has introduced the Tandem Choice technology access program. This initiative offers eligible customers of the t:slim X2 Insulin Pump the chance to acquire ownership of the Tandem Mobi System for $199. The Tandem Mobi System has recently gained clearance from the U.S. FDA to be incorporated into automated insulin delivery systems. It is expected to be launched in a limited capacity later this year, with full availability projected for early 2024.

About the Program

The Tandem Choice Program, available for a limited time, offers the Tandem Mobi System for $199 to customers who purchase a t:slim X2 between July 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023. Those with a t:slim X2 purchased before July 1, 2023, and more than 12 months remaining on their warranty can also join for the original price of $999. Eligible customers can participate until December 31, 2024, and a switch from t:slim X2 to Tandem Mobi is possible upon participation.

The new Tandem Mobi, much smaller than the t:slim X2, can be controlled through an iOS mobile app and offers diverse wearability options. It features an on-pump button for insulin delivery and is compatible with existing Tandem infusion sets.
