d-Nav By Hygieia

The d-Nav insulin management program helps people with Type 2 diabetes administer personalized insulin doses. Users log their glucose readings in the d-Nav app before meals and at bedtime.

Patients need a prescription to enroll in the d-Nav insulin management program and access the d-Nav app.

For complete information, visit d-Nav.

App Category:
Intended User:
  • Caregiver
  • Healthcare Providers
  • Person with Diabetes

Using the d-Nav app, users can:

  • log glucose readings
  • get real-time insulin dose recommendations
  • view insulin dose history
  • improve their A1C over time
  • review their provider-recommended treatment plan
  • receive remote clinical support.
The app recommends an insulin dose for injection. If the reading is low, however, the app doesn’t make a recommendation, and users follow their provider’s guidance.

The app’s algorithm uses several factors to recommend insulin doses, including:

  • current glucose level
  • insulin therapy plan input by the user’s licensed health care provider
  • past glucose readings.

Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) is structured around seven diabetes self-care behaviors, known as the ADCES7 Self-Care Behaviors®. Diabetes care and education specialists can help you set priorities and work with you on improving your own management in each of the following areas:

  • Taking Medication - Adhering to prescribed medication in terms of timing, dosage, frequency, and duration.

The d-Nav app is available to download on Apple and Android devices. The patient receives an enrollment code via email once a provider prescribes the d-Nav program. Users must enter the enrollment code to use the d-Nav app.

Individuals should have an internet connection on their smartphones to sync data from the d-Nav app to the cloud for storage.
