The Welldoc platform includes a digital health app, care team portal, and data intelligence. Welldoc uses artificial intelligence (AI) to give individuals real-time, personalized coaching. The individual's health data and clinical guidelines help form the app’s coaching messages.

Welldoc is focused on clinical rigor with 510(k) clearances and clinical publications.

Access to Welldoc requires an enrollment code supplied by the user’s health insurance plan, health system or employer.

Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) is structured around seven diabetes self-care behaviors, known as the ADCES7 Self-Care Behaviors®. Diabetes care and education specialists can help you set priorities and work with you on improving your own management in each of the following areas:

  • Healthy Coping - Staying positive about diabetes and self-care.
  • Healthy Eating - Consuming a wide variety of nutrient-rich foods for health.
  • Taking Medication - Adhering to prescribed medication in terms of timing, dosage, frequency, and duration.
  • Monitoring - Tracking data influencing diabetes outcomes.
  • Reducing Risks - Recognizing risks and adopting behaviors to prevent diabetes complications.
  • Problem Solving - Identifying and solving issues for better diabetes outcomes.

Welldoc is available for Apple and Android devices.

To use Welldoc, individuals must have access to:

  • a code from their health plan, provider or employer
  • internet or WiFi
  • a tablet or smartphone

Is Welldoc Safe and Secure?

Users need a password to log into their Welldoc account. Additionally, Welldoc uses encryption technology to protect personal information they transfer from the app to a secure server.

The app cannot:

  • modify user data synced from connected devices
  • replace care from a health care provider.

  • Welldoc is intended for patients under the guidance of a health care provider.
  • Setting up an account requires an access code from your care team, health provider or employer.
  • Your mobile device needs to have its most up-to-date operating software before downloading the Welldoc app. 
  • Users can sync the app with their pharmacy or patient portal instead of entering health data manually. Medications and lab results are imported directly into Welldoc.
  • Insulin users can access the Welldoc Rx version of the app for more detailed insulin management support. A prescription is required to access Welldoc Rx.
