Patients can still use the FreeStyle Libre 14 day reader, however Abbott will no longer be providing warranty replacements for the FreeStyle Libre 14 day reader after December 31, 2024. If patients do not want to upgrade to the FreeStyle Libre 3 Plus, they  can download the FreeStyle LibreLink app to a compatible smartphone which will allow them to continue using the FreeStyle Libre 14 day sensors without the reader.
