ADCES’ Fellows Program was established to recognize diabetes care and education specialist leaders who have made outstanding contributions to ADCES through volunteer work at the local, state and national levels through clinical practice, research, education, or health policy. This includes the development and implementation of mentorship programs for diabetes care and education specialists.

“Individuals who are recognized as a Fellow of ADCES have made outstanding contributions to our organization and to our specialty,” said Karen Kemmis, 2023 Fellows Chair and former ADCES President. “Diabetes care and education specialists provide great value to others in the care team and to those with diabetes and related conditions. The newly designated Fellows join past recipients as leaders who have advanced the specialty through the development, implementation, and dissemination of programs and services that support the mission of ADCES.”

Recipients must be current ADCES members, have at least 10 years of experience in the field of diabetes care and education as an educator, clinician, or researcher (or have a BC-ADM or CDCES) and be involved with ADCES at the local and national level. Learn more about the Fellows Program here.
