Tandem Diabetes Care, Inc. has recently launched an updated version of its t:slim X2™ insulin pump software, featuring integration with Dexcom G7 Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) technology within the United States. The updated software is being made available to over 300,000 in-warranty t:slim X2 users through a complimentary remote software update, offering integration with Dexcom’s latest CGM technology. Simultaneously, newly shipped t:slim X2 pumps come pre-loaded with the integrated software, facilitating the adoption of Dexcom G7 technology among new customers. This integration allows users to spend more time in a closed loop with reduced wait times between Dexcom G7 CGM sensor sessions and provides flexibility in choosing between Dexcom G6 or G7 sensors for diabetes management.

The Dexcom G7, integrated with the t:slim X2, boasts improvements in accuracy, a significantly reduced 30-minute sensor warmup time (compared to the previous 2 hours), and a 12-hour grace period for seamless sensor replacement, enhancing the overall user experience. This development marks a significant milestone in Tandem Diabetes Care's decade-long partnership with Dexcom, demonstrating their commitment to advancing Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) systems. The collaborative effort aims to improve the lives of individuals managing diabetes, leveraging the latest CGM technology for increased accuracy and ease of use.
