MiniMed Flex Insulin Pump System

The MiniMed Flex Insulin Pump system has SmartGuard technology, which continuously helps protect against high or low glucose levels.  Its Meal Detection technology helps cover for underestimated carb counts or an occasional missed meal bolus. The MiniMed Flex insulin pump pairs with the MiniMed Simplera Sync sensor and allows for glucose targets of 100, 110 and 120 mg/dL.

This product is for the management of diabetes in persons requiring insulin who are ages 7 years old and older.

Basal Range:

Minimum basal insulin increment: 0.050 units/hour.
Above 0.050, increments can be set in 0.025-unit increments (e.g., 0.05, 0.075, 0.1, etc.).
Maximum hourly basal rate is 15 units.

Bolus Range:

Minimum bolus dose of insulin is 0.05 units. The default increment is 0.1 units but can be reduced to .01 units. Maximum bolus is 25 units.

Transmitter Range:

Maximum of ten feet between pump, sensor, and mobile device.
