Description

Come to this session to receive practical guidance and clinically relevant information related to AID. This session will include an overview of Automated Insulin Delivery (AID) systems and tips for success you can apply in your clinical practice. Attendees will leave the session with a wealth of knowledge, including a structure for how to interpret device data with AID systems, adjust device settings and educate the user on each device.

Learning Outcome

Attendees will apply evidence-based solutions and interventions for equitable healthcare, including comprehensive care for individuals with diabetes and related conditions, addressing behavioral health concerns, advocating for sustainable technology-enabled care, implementing interprofessional team practices, and enhancing clinical care and support in diverse settings.

Intended Audience

This activity is designed for individual or groups of diabetes care and education specialists, including nurses, dietitians, dietetic technicians, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, physicians, PAs, social workers, and other health care providers interested in staying up to date on current practices of care for people with diabetes and other related conditions.

Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialists

To satisfy the requirements for renewal of certification for the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBDCE), continuing education activities must be diabetes related and approved by a provider on the CBDCE list of Approved Providers (www.cbdce.org). CBDCE does not approve continuing education. The Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists is on the CBDCE list of Approved Providers.

Board Certified Advanced Diabetes Management (BC-ADM)

ADCES is the administering body for the Advanced Diabetes Management credentials. Continuing education programs offered by ADCES can be used toward fulfilling BC-ADM Certification and recertification requirements.

Other Health Professionals

It is the responsibility of each participant to determine if the program meets the criteria for re-licensure or recertification for their discipline.
