Prevention 101: Fundamentals of Prediabetes and Diabetes is a self-paced, 5-module online program. Participants who complete the program will be better prepared to participate in CDC-recognized lifestyle coach training.
Available in an easily accessible online format, each module in this self-paced course includes:
• Detailed multimedia lecture presentations
• Check your knowledge quiz questions
• Printable copies of slides handouts

Module 1: The Diabetes Epidemic
Module 2: The Role of the -Trained Lifestyle Coach
Module 3: The Basics of Prediabetes and Diabetes
Module 4: Prevention Therapies: Healthy Eating and Being Active
Module 5: An Introduction to Coaching and Group Facilitation
Certificate of Completion
After completing the 5 modules, course post-test, and course evaluation, a certificate of completion reflecting 2.5 hours of completed coursework will be provided to all individuals successfully completing the course.
Please note, this course is not designed at a level that qualifies nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, physicians, PAs, or social workers to claim CE credit. However, individuals in other professions may be able to apply the credit in accordance with their credentialing organization's requirements.
Learners have 6 months from the date of registration to complete this course.
