This session offers a tour of the current and emerging landscape of automated insulin delivery (AID) systems, equipping clinicians with the knowledge needed for confident conversations with people with diabetes and care teams. Participants will review the spectrum of FDA‑cleared commercial AID options, explore key similarities and differences across systems, and understand how these technologies are being used not only in type 1 diabetes but also in expanding type 2 diabetes contexts. The webinar will also highlight innovation trends shaping the future of AID and provide practical guidance for aligning system features with patient needs and care settings. By the end, clinicians will be better prepared to help people with diabetes navigate choices without overwhelm and will know where to access reliable, up‑to‑date resources on this rapidly evolving field.

This webinar is the second in our seven-part AID series.
Part 1: Automated Insulin Delivery 101: Core Concepts & Patient Selection
Part 3: Prescribing AID: Documentation, Workflow, and Team Roles
Part 4: Patient Training & Onboarding for AID Systems - Laying the Groundwork for Success
Part 5 (July 21): Clinical Follow-Up & Troubleshooting: Optimizing Outcomes in AID
Part 6 (September 24): Case Studies in AID: Real-World Scenarios
Part 7 (October TBD): Access & Affordability: Ensuring Equity in AID Therapy
