Description

Hypertension management is an important component of comprehensive care for people with diabetes. Informed by the 2025 ACC/AHA Multisociety High Blood Pressure Guideline, this webinar will examine the evolving approach to hypertension management, including treatment goals, cardiovascular risk assessment, and considerations that may influence treatment decisions. The discussion will also address when clinicians should consider secondary causes of hypertension, with a closer look at the prevalence, recognition, and screening of primary aldosteronism. Pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic strategies will be considered within the context of translating current guidance into individualized, evidence-based care.

Following this activity, learners will report increased knowledge and confidence in applying updated hypertension guidelines to blood pressure classification, treatment decisions, and the evaluation and management of primary aldosteronism.
